Tom was killed in an auto accident in the San Francisco Bay area in 1966. His family had moved there after Tom graduated. At the time of his death he was attending college. We lived next door to each other starting in the 7th grade in upper Mercerwood. Being so close, we were spoiled being able to walk to school for both Junior and Senior High School except for the 9th grade at the new Junior High at the south end. Tom really enjoyed his time at MI and spoke of it often.
