I have been trying for almost 30 years to become a Wall Street Tycoon, but alas am too rooted in the nature of the great Northwest to really do it. I married my high school sweetheart from Bellevue High, graduated from Scripps College, taught high school for a few years and then concentrated on raising two little boys for about ten years. I did an MBA at U of W and began work as a stock broker about the time I turned 40. Every day brings a new challenge and as all of you know,being just a little ahead of the Baby Boomers, I've had marvelous time surfing their wave. I'm now contemplating retirement in a few years to somewhere with a little more sun and more time to ride my horses.

I want to salute the remarkable caliber of the students in our graduating class as well as our truly gifted faculty. In retrospect, I think that we were truly extraordinary. Our classes were challenging (I still amaze people when I tell them about having to present my Credo in Mr. Wichterman's philosophy class), such a high percentage of our class went on to college and learning was "cool" or at least I thought it was. I am really looking forward to seeing everyone and hearing about all the interesting things that they have done, are doing and thinking.
