After high school, Gee went to school in Brentwood, Essex, England, a British Public School called The Brentwood School. Public schools in the U.K. are actually private. Weird, huh? One of his room mates, and still a good friend, is now the Foreign Secretary for the U.K. His name is Jack Straw. Gee met his wife of fourteen years while he was there. They had four children, Sarah, Matthew, Lisa, and Jonathan. After going to school there, he went to Europe with Rick Philbrick. (Gee said he sure does miss Rick.) After Gee got back he joined the Army and was in the Enlisted Reserves. He spent four and a half months of active duty, with the rest of his time as 'weekend warrior and summer soldier'.

Shortly after that Gee went back to England to get married. The two came back and first lived on Mercer Island for a year, then moved to Portland for a year. Then they bought a house in Renton and lived there until 1973 when they moved back to Portland and have been here ever since. Gee has worked for Sound Floor Coverings, a company his father started in 1947, all of his career until August of 2000 when his sister, brother and Gee sold it to Kraus Carpet Mills, Ltd. of Canada. Now Gee works for them as a regional sales manager. And he is responsible for his old company , a distributor in N. California, N. Nevada, and Hawaii, and an agent in N. California. His daughter Sarah and her husband Martin, live in San Francisco. They have a daughter Siri, 2 and a new born boy, Alistair. Gee gets down there a lot to see the grandkids. Matt lives in San Diego, Lisa is in Seattle and Jonny just moved back to Portland. Gee has been single since 1979. He scuba dives, skies, golfs, and travels quite a bit. Gee enjoys working and doesn't plan to retire any time soon.
