I was the last of the five who went to MIT to graduate. I finally crawled out in 1969. In my mid-forties returned to school, (having finally recovered from the ordeal) and got a Master’s at Indiana University, then continued at Oregon State, but ending finally crapping out at the “ABD” level in History of Science. But mostly I worked in the publishing business for many years. I still write stuff in this area and am giving a paper in Albuquerque, just before the reunion, at the 19th annual meeting of the Natural Philosophy Alliance, . (Those interested can even read the paper on line by going to the NPA website.) Coming back Saturday so I’ll miss the Roanoake but will be at the dinner. I’ve been married to Sharon for 40+ years, and we have no kids, but a parakeet, Bobby the Third. Bobby the first lasted 12 great years and was stuffed by a talented taxidermist and is on top of the piano, Bobby Two is still in the freezer. We are both retired and live in Salem Oregon. We do a lot of gardening and I collect antique oriental rugs and do Ebay. I’ve kept in touch with Dennis Overbye and Paul Jones over the years. In fact the only reason I’ve submitted this account is because Paul threatened to release some very old embarrassing pictures of me, if I failed to do so. The picture I provided is of the class of 1966, 45th reunion at MIT last summer. We were the winning boat in the crew reunion, (with a generous handicap for our ages). Dennis is at the extreme left and I am to his right.
