Occuption: Retired
After leaving MIHS I went to Reed College and then on to Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland where I met my wife Sharon. I taught (anatomy, physiology) and did research (cell biology) at the University of Colorado Medical Center for about 8 years. I tired of the academic life so got an MBA at night school and then worked in startup medical device companies which were fun but risky. I joined larger medical companies where I spent most of my time developing, testing, and marketing new medical devices. I retired from Siemens Medical in 2005 and spent the next 5 years managing drug study sites for several pharmaceutical companies. In 2010 I retired for good but still do some consulting.
We moved back to MI in 1989 where we have lived ever since. Both of our sons graduated from MIHS, the UW, and USD Law School. They now live in the Seattle area so we see them fairly often.
I do volunteer work for the Pacific Shellfish Institute but also enjoy gardening, cooking, walking our basset hound, traveling, and spending time at the family cabin on Hood Canal. Life is really pretty good!
